First Grand Champion Buck
WMM'S COBBY HOBBY MONTANA
1st generation Kinder buck, has established himself as an important part of KGBA history,
becoming the very 1st Permanent Grand Champion Kinder buck. Bred and owned by Daniel
and Valerie Witt of Chehalis, WA, Montana is a striking white buck with black trim (light
caramel Pygmy type coloration). According to his owners, he “is the result of a careful
genetic blending of star milkers on his Nubian dam's side, as well as a heavy milking Pygmy
line on the part of his sire. He is a structurally correct buck, earning an HES score of 92.2 in
July of 1997. His little sister earned a 91.3, while his yearling daughter garnered a promising
71.4 (Junior Doe), a big improvement over her dam. He has proven to be an excellent
foundation sire for our Kinder line, passing on the good looks and milkability that are making
themselves known in the show-ring.” Congratulations to Montana and to the Witt family for
an honor well deserved!
